What Is Kid's Kamp?

At the Voice Acting Institute, Kids Kamp is a playful, professional, 4‑hour workshop where young creators discover the power of their voice, learn to perform with heart, and have a blast bringing characters to life.

Who It’s For

Kids ages 8–11 who love characters, stories, and using their imagination—whether they already perform or simply need encouragement to speak up and shine.

What They’ll Learn

  • Character Creation: Bring animated characters to life using voice, emotion, and imagination.

  • Script Interpretation: Understand feelings, intention, and story beats on the page.

  • Performance Skills: Practice in front of peers with gentle, actionable feedback.

  • Confidence & Expression: Speak boldly, listen actively, and try new things in a supportive space.

  • Creative Collaboration: Play well with others through games and scene work.

Our goal: Help every child find their voice on the page, on the stage, and in everyday life.

Meet Your Hosts

Our Kids Kamp is guided by two passionate professionals who care deeply about creativity, confidence, and community. Together, they ensure Kids Kamp is not only educational but also inspiring and memorable for every child and parent.

Mr. Stanley Fisher — Voice Acting Coach & Director

Stanley is an award-winning creative director and voice actor with nearly three decades of experience in advertising and performance. He has voiced national campaigns, led creative teams, and now focuses on coaching young performers to discover the power of their own voice. His approach is supportive, fun, and rooted in building lasting confidence.

Ms. Angie Bookrs — Photographer & Creative Partner

Angie is a skilled event and portrait photographer who specializes in capturing authentic, joy-filled moments. At Kids Kamp, she documents each child’s experience with candid photos and offers families discounted headshot sessions to support their child’s creative journey. Angie’s warm presence helps kids feel at ease, both on and off the mic.

FAQs

Do kids need prior experience?
No. Kids Kamp welcomes beginners and experienced young performers.

What should we bring?
A packed lunch, water bottle, comfortable clothes, and a positive attitude.

Can parents stay?
Yes, we prefer it. We are also looking for parents to volunteer to help with bathroom breaks or general needs during the event. Parents are also invited back for the final Q&A.

How do photos work?
Angie takes candid photos during mic time. A link to download images will be emailed to parents after the workshop.

Is Kids Kamp a real camp or camping experience?
No. Kids Kamp is simply the branding name of our event. It is a voice acting workshop designed for children ages 8–11.

Refunds & Transfers
If you need to cancel, you may transfer your child’s spot to a future Kids Kamp (pending availability) or receive a refund up to 3 days before the event. Within 3 days, credit toward a future session will be provided.
