Michelle Betton is a dedicated coach and the backbone of The Voice Acting Institute and a passionate, working voice actor with a lifelong love of learning, storytelling, and growth. She trained in acting and performance at The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts and has studied under veteran voice actor and coach Stanley Fisher since 2019.
As a coach, Michelle is known for her steady, compassionate presence and her ability to meet artists exactly where they are. She is deeply committed to helping voice actors develop their craft, strengthen their confidence, and build sustainable careers rooted in clarity, curiosity, and service. Her coaching style blends practical insight with emotional intelligence, informed by years of hands-on experience, thoughtful conversation, and an unwavering belief in collective growth.
Michelle’s work as a voice actor spans commercial, e-learning, and medical narration, but her mission reaches beyond medium or genre. She is especially drawn to stories that broaden understanding stories of people and places often left untold. She is passionate about amplifying voices from communities of color, low-income communities, and queer communities, and believes deeply in the power of high-quality voiceover to create meaningful, transformative listening experiences.
Her love of storytelling began early. While many were told that television couldn’t teach you anything, Michelle knew otherwise. Film and television became her window to the world transporting her through voices that educated, inspired, and opened new universes of knowledge. Even then, she dreamed of becoming one of those voices, helping others discover what was possible.
Years later, that dream has become her life’s work.
